Glencliff, Timber Boardwalk

In addition to the new bridge structure for the community of Westchase, Sunbelt Construction was contracted to renovate their existing timber boardwalk. This involved the demolition of existing boardwalk leaving only the piles and stringers. Through Sunbelt’s design/build process the boardwalk was rebuilt using alternate timber composite materials. A total of 740 linear feet of boardwalk was constructed with this alternate timber composite material. This renovation brought the reconditioned boardwalk within compliance of ADA requirements. This was the second of three phases and was completed on time and within budget.
